The Fourth Act
Focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, our philosophy is simple: work with exceptional vineyard sites and handle them with restraint. The result is a pair of wines defined by balance, texture, and clarity of place.
This release is shaped in part by Greg La Follette’s fourth act in winemaking—a return to the varietals and vineyard expressions that have defined his work. His perspective informs both site selection and approach, grounding the wines in a clear point of view.
In this video, Greg reflects on his enduring connection to Pinot Noir and introduces the Harmony Lane Vineyard.

Taste the Wines with Evan Damiano
Marchelle Winemaker Evan Damiano takes a closer look at structure, balance, and the decisions behind the wines.
2022 Harmony Lane Pinot Noir
Top Pinot Noir — Pigs & Pinot
Nestled high above the Russian River Valley, this three-acre vineyard thrives in the ebb and flow of fog and sunlight. Rooted in Goldridge soils, Harmony Lane yields a Pinot Noir of grace and tension; precise, elegant, and coastal to its core.
2023 Haiku Reserve Chardonnay
Best in Show — American Fine Wine Competition
A poetic expression from Haiku Vineyard, crafted in small lots and fermented wild. Winemaker Evan Damiano calls it his “quietest wine”, an exploration of the bond between vine, soil, and soul. Textural and contemplative, with a whisper of oak and profound mineral grace.
Pigs & Pinot
The 2026 Pigs & Pinot (March 20–21) marked a historic debut at Appellation Healdsburg, Charlie Palmer’s new flagship, following two decades at Hotel Healdsburg and Dry Creek Kitchen.
In a highly competitive field, Marchelle Wines won the Pinot Cup with the 2022 Harmony Lane Estate, Russian River Valley, ahead of Three Sticks Wines’ 2023 William James Vineyard, while the Ultimate Pinot Smackdown was won by Grail by Dan Kosta over Domaine Serene Vineyards & Winery.
Held just minutes from Healdsburg, the win comes at a pivotal moment as Marchelle prepares to open its tasting room, deepening its connection to the local wine community.

Marchelle Wines
Marchelle wines begin in the vineyard—with old vines, sustainable farming, and close partnerships with family growers who share our values. From cool coastal sites to arid heritage blocks, we work alongside them throughout the season to ensure exceptional fruit. This work is guided by decades of experience: Greg La Follette’s career spans some of the most respected Pinot Noir and Chardonnay programs in California, while Evan Damiano brings a deep, hands-on understanding of site expression and modern cellar precision.
In the cellar, the approach is restrained: native fermentations, minimal SO₂, and extended sur lie aging, allowing each wine to reflect its site with clarity and precision. Together, Greg and Evan balance intuition built over years with a disciplined, detail-oriented process.
This balance of science, instinct, and respect for the land yields wines with depth, structure, and a subtle sauvage character.
