Betty Ann Vineyard

Tucked into the heart of the Russian River Valley, Betty Ann Vineyard is the birthplace of Marchelle first wine. These own-rooted Colombard vines were planted over 120 years ago, their gnarled trunks reaching deep into sandy loam soils just miles from the Pacific. Originally farmed for bulk wine, this historic block was all but forgotten until we tasted the fruit and knew it deserved a voice of its own. That first Colombard bottling became the foundation of our journey — a celebration of overlooked varietals, old vines, and the expressive power of place. Betty Ann remains a guiding light for us, reminding us that sometimes the most compelling stories begin in the most unexpected rows.
